What’s New?
The Fall 2008 Newsletter is now available on the "Newsletters" tab of this website.
The 2010 Grants cycle is open and the committee has posted the cover letter and
application for 2010 Grants on this website and mailed copies to each parish.
Overview
The Case Trust / Bristol County Fund is a Trust Fund left by the Case Family of
Swansea MA for the ongoing support of Episcopal Churches in Bristol County. The
CT/BCF Committee accepts grant applications from Episcopal Churches in Bristol
County each year to distribute proceeds from the trust.
A Little About What We Do
In 2006, the Bishops moved administration of the Case Trust / Bristol County Fund
from the central diocese offices in Boston to local administration in Bristol Country.
Granting in 2006 took the form of 'Gifting', where each parish in Bristol County
received grants to use toward the diocese mission. In 2007 and 2008 the CT/BCF
issued grants to almost all of the 15 parishes across Bristol County to support their
outreach efforts.
In 2009, there were 27 CT/BCF grant awards to 13 different parishes within Bristol
County. While the requests were greater than the available funding for the year, all
parishes received some funding for their outreach efforts. There were a few
churches which initially failed to meet the Diocese granting criteria and those funds
will be distributed along with the 2010 grants.
